Conference and exhibition guides

Client: NHS Confederation

Template files are called template files for a reason. Often created from the germ of an idea and draft copy, they use dummy text in the layout. The final text then makes or breaks the design. My job here was to make the design work.

Starting from a client-supplied file with two template pages, I developed the rest: contents, chief exec’s welcome, how-to, general info and exhibitor index.

I also refined the programme outline page that holds the exhibitor blurbs. This had its own quirks – getting each stand number to stay aligned with the right exhibitor as more exhibitors were added, for example.
